Hyundai Praised for Low Emissions, High Fuel Economy

At a time when gasoline prices hover around $4/per gallon and the world is becoming more environmentally-conscious, auto companies that concentrate on these issues are more important and impressive than ever before. Take Hyundai, for example. The South Korean automaker was recently recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as the number one automaker in the U.S. as far as fuel economy ratings and CO2 emissions are concerned. These findings were reported in the EPA 2011 Light-Duty Automotive Technology and Fuel Economy Trends Report, and they apply to the 2010 model year.

Hyundai Crushes All-Time November Sales Record

Hyundai is growing! For the second year in a row, the automaker has nearly doubled its sales compared to the same record-setting period this time last year. The company, which recently received the award for "Highest Residual Value" in its class from ALG, announced on Dec. 1, 2011 that it had sold almost 50 thousand vehicles in November, a 22 percent total sales increase and 24 percent retail sales increase vs. last November.
